Home < Case Processing < File Review Court records available for review at the Clerk's Office:For office hours, please refer to Court Information. The following public court records are available for review in the Clerk's Office lobby during normal office hours:
Depending on the type of proceeding, in most instances, miscellaneous and magistrate cases are destroyed in accordance with the Records Disposition Schedule as established by the Judicial Conference of the United States. Accessing court records that are sealed: If a member of the public or media would like to obtain access to a sealed document, they must file a formal motion and seek the concurrence of, and give notice to, all parties/counsel of record. How to perform a search of the court's electronic records: Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), for NH US District Court records only, is available in the Clerk's Office lobby at no cost to the user. PACER offers complete case information including parties, attorneys, filings, deadlines, etc. Information entered by our court personnel is downloaded nightly so it will not appear until the day after docketing. In PACER, users may search by party name, case number, or date range. Of course, from your own computer, PACER has access to court records from most district, appellate, and bankruptcy courts nationwide. File Request Sign-In Sheet: In order to review a case file at the court, a File Request Sign-In sheet must be completed. A deputy clerk will then retrieve the file. Retrieved files can be viewed and copied but cannot be removed from the Clerk's Office Lobby area without prior authorization from the Clerk of Court.
