Jurors will be paid a $40 per day attendance fee for each day they are required to report to the court for jury duty. Federal employees, except Postal Service, are not entitled to attendance fees. Jurors will also be paid for mileage, plus tolls, from your home to the court.

If you have to travel in excess of one hour, you may come to Concord the night before your scheduled selection date after confirming by phone that your services will be needed. Please consult the hotels and accommodations topic for further information.

Jurors who are not specifically ordered to report to the court cannot be compensated.

While there is no law that requires employers to pay jurors who serve, federal law does prohibit employers from discharging, threatening, or intimidating employees in the performance of their duty. Jurors should immediately check with their supervisors or human resource staff to determine what policies are available to assist them.
