2023 Federal Practice Institute

The United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire will host the 11th Federal Practice Institute at the Rudman Courthouse on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The program is designed for attorneys who litigate in federal court and is offered free of charge. Lunch and refreshments are included with registration. Under the CLE accounting rules, the event may qualify for 6.5 hours of live CLE credit, including 1 hour Ethics/Professional credit.

The morning session will be led by Attorney John F. Weaver, who will speaking on the evolving legal challenges presented by artificial intelligence and the invasion and protection of privacy interests. The afternoon session will feature Attorneys Roberta D. Liebenberg and Stephanie A. Scharf, who will share empirical data and findings taken from ABA studies on women as lead counsel at trial and the experience and leadership roles of women in private law firms. As in past years, the Institute will provide traditional breakout sections on developments in specific practice areas.  The day will conclude with an ethics presentation by Attorney Sara Greene, Disciplinary Counsel for the NH Supreme Court Attorney Discipline Office, and Attorney David Rothstein, Former Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee.
