Security Screening

For the safety of all those who use the courthouse, everyone is required to pass through a security checkpoint monitored by the United States Marshal. Jurors will be asked to show their jury documents and photo identification. Jurors should read the information on courthouse security found in their jury documents prior to arrival at the court to expedite processing. The following items will not be allowed into the courthouse.

  • Mobile phones
  • Laptops
  • Cameras
  • Any recording devices
  • Knives (including pocket knives)
  • Mace/pepper spray
  • Scissors

These items and any item that the United States Marshal determines could be used as a weapon will be confiscated and left with courthouse security at the juror's risk until the juror leaves the building. The decision of the United States Marshal on this issue is final.

You still must check in with the jury staff as you enter the Jury Assembly Room, so please keep your records available until your attendance has been confirmed with them. No one, including family members, may accompany the juror into the Jury Assembly Room.
