Please note that the amendments to Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(d) and Fed. R. Crim. P. 45(c), affecting deadlines for filing or taking other action after service, become effective December 1, 2016. The amendments “remove service by electronic means under Fed. R. Civ. P. 5(b)(2)(E) from the modes of service that allow 3 added days to act after being served.” See Fed. R. Civ.
