The United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire has been made aware of an email jury scam in which the email claims its receipient has been "summoned to appear for Jury Duty for a Federal Case." The email also claims that if you do not appear, you will automatically be fined, and includes a hyperlink to more information about the case and the case number. This is not a legitimate jury summons. Federal jurors in New Hampshire are summoned by mail, and any email from the Jury Office is sent from "ejuror@nhd.uscourts.gov." If you receive an email about jury duty and you are not sure whether or not you are a federal juror, please do not click any hyperlinks in the email and contact the Jury Office at (603) 226-7790.
