Optional Remote Deposition Stipulations
Posted: May 13, 2024
Because litigants are increasingly conducting remote videoconference depositions in lieu of in-person depositions, the Federal Court Advisory Committee developed model stipulations governing remote videoconference depositions. Parties may want to consider adopting agreed upon videoconference deposition stipulations in order to avoid disagreements or misunderstandings during the deposition, and to avoid litigating those differences with the court. These stipulations are optional, not mandatory, and can be modified as appropriate by the parties. The model stipulations can be accessed here.
