Register for the 2023 Federal Practice Institute

The court will be hosting the 2023 Federal Practice Institute on Friday, September 29, 2023.  The event will begin with Attorney John F. Weaver speaking on the evolving legal challenges presented by artificial intelligence and the invasion and protection of privacy interests.  That will be followed by a session entitled “Observations from the Bench,” led by District Judge Elliott and Magistrate Judge Johnstone.  The afternoon will feature Attorneys Roberta D. Liebenberg and Stephanie A. Scharf, who will share empirical data and findings taken from ABA studies on women as lead counsel at trial and the experience and leadership roles of women in private law firms.  This year’s Institute will feature the return of the Federal Judge Open Forum, which is a popular interactive session between the federal bench and attendees on a wide range of issues.  Attorney Sara Greene, Disciplinary Counsel for the NH Supreme Court Attorney Discipline Office, and Attorney David Rothstein, Former Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee, will present on ethics.  Finally, the Institute will again host interactive breakout sessions for civil, criminal, and bankruptcy practitioners.

Lunch will be provided to attendees.
