Trial Periods
Absent specific court order, juries are drawn every other Tuesday, unless otherwise noted. The trial periods listed are two-week segments. The schedule below outlines the jury selection dates set for upcoming calendar years. The initials indicate which judicial officers will be hearing cases during that trial period–SE, Chief Judge Elliott; JL, Judge Laplante; LM, Judge McCafferty; SM, Judge McAuliffe; PB, Judge Barbadoro; AJ, Magistrate Judge Johnstone; and TSM, Magistrate Judge Saint-Marc. Except as otherwise noted on the calendar, Judge Laplante, Judge Barbadoro, and Magistrate Judge Saint-Marc hear cases during the first two-week period, Chief Judge Elliott, Judge McCafferty, Judge McAuliffe, and Magistrate Judge Johnstone during the second two-week period.
When choosing a trial date for inclusion in your Discovery Plan, please indicate: Two-week trial period beginning mo/day/yr. See Local Rules, Appendix of Forms, Civil Form 2.
